This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Aupaire JSC (“Aupaire,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy forms an integral part of the Aupaire Terms & Conditions. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

Our Commitment:

  • We do not sell personal data to third parties.
  • We use only aggregated or anonymized data for analytics and service improvements.
  • We apply strict security, consent, and transparency principles in compliance with Egyptian Data Protection Law No. 151/2020 and global standards such as GDPR.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information to operate securely and effectively

  • Personal Identification Information: Name, email, phone, address, date of birth, gender.
  • Verification Data: Government-issued ID, biometric scans (where required), background check data, OTP confirmations.
  • Payment & Transaction Data: Payment method, billing address, subscription status, commission and payout records.
  • Usage Data: Device identifiers, IP, browser/app activity logs, session data, booking history.
  • Location Data: Real-time and historical GPS data to enable bookings, arrivals, and safety features.
  • Communication Data: In-app messages, masked calls, video sessions, metadata, and customer support records.
  • Cookies & Tracking Data: Cookies and equivalent tools to maintain sessions, secure logins, and improve services.
  • Sensitive Data (where required): Health certificates or background check results, only for Professional vetting.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process data for lawful, limited purposes:

  • Account & Verification: To authenticate Users and ensure community safety.
  • Bookings & Payments: To manage bookings, verify OTPs, process secure payments, and release payouts.
  • Safety & Trust: To screen Professionals, detect fraud, investigate complaints, and enforce policy compliance.
  • Service Communications: To send confirmations, reminders, support responses, security alerts, and account notices.
  • Improvement & Innovation: To analyze anonymized usage trends, train AI systems (AutoMatch, recommendations), optimize search rankings, and improve platform reliability.
  • Marketing (optional): To send promotions or updates where you have provided consent (with opt-out controls).
  • Legal Compliance: To fulfill obligations under Egyptian data, tax, labor, and consumer protection laws.

3. Sharing of Information

  • Age & Capacity: Users must be 18+ and legally capable of contracting under Egyptian law.
  • Accurate Information: Provide true, current, and complete details and keep them updated.
  • One Account Policy: One User = one active account. Fraudulent, duplicate, or impersonated accounts may be deactivated.
  • Security: You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and notifying Aupaire of unauthorized access.
  • Electronic Consent: You consent to electronic communications and e-signatures consistent with Egyptian law.

4. Data Security

We implement strong safeguards:

  • Encryption: All personal data encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
  • Access Controls: Role-based access with audit logs; only authorized staff may access data.
  • Monitoring: Continuous monitoring and anomaly detection.
  • Breach Protocol: Users will be notified promptly of any breach in line with Egyptian law, and corrective actions will be taken.

5. Data Retention

Retention Principle: We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide services, resolve disputes, meet regulatory obligations, and protect our legal rights.

Examples of Retention Periods:

  • ID verification data (e.g., copies of national ID, background checks): retained during the onboarding process and deleted within 30 days if onboarding fails or the Professional is rejected.
  • Active account data (Customers and Professionals): retained for the lifetime of the account. Upon closure, core account data is retained for 3 years to resolve disputes or meet regulatory requests, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
  • Payment & financial records: retained for 7 years as required for accounting, auditing, and tax law compliance.
  • Communication logs (in-app chat, masked calls, support tickets): retained for 2 years for security, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention.
  • Location data: stored temporarily to support bookings and safety. Historical logs are anonymized within 90 days.
  • Deletion & Anonymization: Once the retention period ends, data is securely deleted or anonymized for statistical or system-improvement purposes.

6. Your Rights

Under Egyptian law and global best practices, you may:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct: Update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete: Request deletion, subject to legal or contractual obligations.
  • Restrict/Object: Restrict processing or object to certain uses.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format, where feasible.
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent to optional uses (e.g., marketing).

7. Cookies & Tracking

  • Purpose: Authentication, preference storage, fraud prevention, analytics, and (where permitted) marketing.
  • User Control: You may disable cookies in your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain functionality.

8. Automated Decisions & AI

Some features rely on algorithms and automated systems:

  • Examples: AutoMatch, AI recommendations, fraud detection, ranking adjustments.
  • Anonymization: AI training uses anonymized or aggregated data.
  • Transparency: Automated tools improve efficiency but do not guarantee outcomes.
  • Right to Human Review: Users may request human review of significant automated decisions affecting them.

9. Liability & Limitations

  • Aupaire strives to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security against all cyber threats.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aupaire is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from data breaches, except where caused by proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app messages or email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including Law No. 151 of 2020 on Data Protection.
